Man Killed In Triple Shooting Identified

On May 8, 2025, at approximately 6:44 p.m., Wilmington Police responded to the 800 block of East 22nd Street following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered three gunshot victims at the scene.

A 21-year-old male victim, later identified as Jah’Mir Johnson, was found critically injured. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A 19-year-old female and a 9-year-old female were also injured in the incident. Both were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Authorities have not released details about a suspect or motive at this time. Police are urging anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Joseph Wicks at (302) 576-3654.
