Troopers Identify Young Man Killed In Accident Tuesday

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred yesterday in Millsboro that left one man dead.

Officials said on May 20, 2025, at approximately 5:16 p.m., a Lincoln MKZ was traveling westbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road. At the same time, a Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road. For reasons still under investigation, the Lincoln entered the eastbound lane of travel into the path of the Cadillac police said. In an attempt to avoid the collision, the Cadillac swerved to the right shoulder where the front of the Lincoln struck the front of the Cadillac.

The driver of the Lincoln, 19-year-old Charles Williamson, of Dagsboro, was taken to an area hospital where he died.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 52-year-old woman from Dagsboro, Delaware was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, a 56-year-old woman from Millsboro, was also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for an extended time while the scene was investigated and cleared.
