Edgemore 7-11 Can’t Catch A Break, Robbed Once Again

Wilmington- Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area 7-11 store that occurred late Saturday night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said that the investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at approximately 11:38 p.m., as a male suspect entered the 7-11 located at 4865 Governor Printz Boulevard. The suspect approached the sales counter where he then confronted a male clerk.

He then implied that he was armed with a gun and demanded money from the cash register as well as cigarettes, according to Hale. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes to him. The suspect then exited the store and fled in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured and a gun was never displayed.

The suspect was described as a white male. He was 35-40 years of age, 5’08”-5’10” tall, weighed 180-200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and sneakers.

This is the 7th robbery at this location in recent months.
