Crash Sends Four To Hospital Monday Morning

WILMINGTON, Del. – Seven people were evaluated Tuesday morning after a bus was involved in a crash at Townsend Street and A Street in Wilmington around 9:05 a.m.

New Castle County Paramedics, along with Wilmington Fire Department, Minquadal Fire Company, Holloway Terrace Fire Company, and Goodwill Fire Company of New Castle, responded after initial reports of multiple injuries and possible entrapment.

Paramedics treated a 22-year-old woman for minor head and back injuries, a 26-year-old man for chest and back injuries, and a 30-year-old woman for back pain. All patients were taken to Wilmington Hospital by Wilmington Fire Department ambulances with paramedics on board. They were reported to be in stable condition.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that an 8-year-old female child was also transported to AI DuPont with minor injuries. She was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with the bus.

Authorities did not say how many of those injured were on the bus or in the other vehicle.
