One Dead, Two Shot In The Face Monday

Wilmington Police are investigating two separate shootings on Monday that left two people injured and one dead.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Sycamore Street, where they located a 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier, at approximately 11:59 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of South Harrison Street for reports of a shooting. Officers located a 24-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, both suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was located several blocks away in the 300 block of South Jackson Street. Both were transported to the hospital in stable condition. According to preliminary information, both men sustained injuries to the face.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time. Both incidents remain under investigation, and authorities have stated that additional details will be provided as they become available.
