Wilmington – At approximately 1:25 pm this afternoon New Castle County Paramedics, Cranston Heights, Mill Creek, Belvedere and Minquas Fire Companies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of West Newport Pike (Route 4) and Tolliver Drive in Wilmington, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.
Upon arrival County Paramedics found a two vehicle crash with one patient confined to the vehicle. Personnel from the responding fire companies were able to extricate the patient. The patient, a 24 year old female, had head and right shoulder injuries. The patient was transferred via Belvedere Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital. The patient was in critical condition.
Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
