Teen Girl Shot Wednesday Afternoon

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage girl injured Wednesday afternoon in the city.

Authorities reported the incident occurred at approximately 4:19 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Walnut Street. Responding officers located a 17-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

Police indicated the investigation remains active, and additional information has not yet been released.
