The Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday evening on Forest Road in Milton, with detectives actively searching for a suspect identified as a 62-year-old local man.
According to investigators, troopers responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 11, 2026, to the 20000 block of Forest Road following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 47-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case was turned over to the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit due to the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary findings indicate the suspect, identified as Myron Savage of Milton, approached the victim on foot while the victim was in the front yard of a residence. Authorities allege Savage fired multiple shots before fleeing the area on a black, three-wheeled scooter of an unknown make or model.
Detectives have since obtained an arrest warrant for Savage and are actively attempting to locate him. Police are urging anyone who may know his whereabouts to immediately contact 9-1-1.
