A shooting in New Castle County has led to an attempted murder charge following an investigation.

Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to Christiana Hospital on April 20, 2026, at approximately 2:50 p.m. after receiving a report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was in critical condition and received immediate medical treatment.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit determined the shooting occurred on Concord Bridge Place. Investigators allege that 28-year-old Quran Tabron confronted the victim and fired multiple rounds, striking him before fleeing the area.

Following the investigation, Tabron was located on April 28 and taken into custody. He was transported to New Castle County Police headquarters, where he was charged with attempted murder in the first degree and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Tabron was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $1,060,000 cash bail.
