The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old male injured Saturday evening.
Officers responded at approximately 7:26 p.m. to the area of C and South Heald streets, where they located the teenage victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The 17-year-old was transported to a local hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
