NEWARK, Del. — The company associated with The Picklr indoor pickleball facility in Newark has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in federal court.

Newark PB LLC, associated with the facility at 301 Grove Lane, filed its petition on September 24, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.

According to the bankruptcy filing, the company reported estimated liabilities between $1 million and $10 million and estimated assets between $500,000 and $1 million.

A separate company associated with The Picklr location in Exton, Pennsylvania, also filed for Chapter 11 protection on September 24.

The local filings preceded a separate Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by Picklr, Inc., the national franchise company, on October 9, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows businesses to seek reorganization of their financial obligations under federal court supervision. A filing does not necessarily mean a business will close.

The national company has stated that its locations are continuing to operate during the restructuring process.
