Elkton – At approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning fire crews from Newark’s Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company (Ladder 9 & Engine 9) along with Elkton’s Singerly Fire Company responded to a house fire on McArthur Lane in the Patriots Glen neighborhood.
Arriving units found smoke coming from the roof of the home and quickly brought the fire under control. Reports from the scene indicate that the homeowners solar panels caught fire causing the roof to catch fire.
