Wilmington Man In Critical After Being Shot In The Back, #62

Wilmington – On Friday April 21, 2017 at approximately 5:24 p.m. Wilmington Police officers working in the area of the 500 block of N. Madison Street were alerted to a possible shooting victim in the area of 7th and Monroe Streets, according to police.

Officials said prior to the arrival of officers the victim was transported to the Wilmington Hospital via private vehicle.

Patrol officers met the vehicle at the hospital and discovered a 29-year-old black male suffering from multiple gunshots wounds to his back and leg, according to police.

Authorities said the victim is being treated at the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
