Woman Caught Shoving Meat In Her Pants

Newark – Newark Police Department is investigating a shoplifting that occurred on April 21, 2017 at approximately 8:19 p.m. at ACME, 100 Suburban Drive, according to police.

Officials said an employee reported that the female suspect entered the store and proceeded to the meat department. She then placed several packages of meat in her pants and tried to leave the store, according to authorities.

The suspect was confronted by a loss prevention officer and subsequently returned all of the meat products, which totaled $93.92. The female left the store prior to the officer’s arrival and was last seen walking towards Elkton Road.
