Wilmington Police – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash which occurred this afternoon, Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey Hale.
Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. on I-495 northbound on the Christina River Bridge east of Wilmington, and involves two vehicles. At least one person has suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
I-495 northbound is currently restricted to one lane.
