Cab Driver Robbed at Gunpoint

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating the early morning robbery of a taxi cab driver.  Police say that around 2:20 a.m., a 63-year-old male, driving for City Cab, was robbed at gunpoint while sitting inside his vehicle.

The driver was stopped in the area of Mary Street and Bradford Street, when a male suspect approached the driver holding a handgun towards his head and demanded money, according to Dover police. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect is described by the victim as being a light-skinned (possibly mixed-race) male, with braided hair, 5’8″ and approximately 180 pounds.
