McDevitt, 63, of Bear, DE, was operating a 2002 Indian motorcycle and was traveling in an eastbound direction on the right hand shoulder of DE Route 71 (Red Lion Road) just west of Delilah Drive. The front of the McDevitt’s motorcycle then struck the rear of a unoccupied 2005 Ford Explorer which was parked on the right hand shoulder of the roadway.
