Newark Police Launches Interactive Map to Crowd-source Traffic Concerns

Newark – The Newark Police Department is launching an experimental program to collect citizen concerns about traffic.  From now until August 26th, the department will “crowd-source” traffic concerns through the online mapping platform ArcGis Online.  Users can view the map and submit the location of their traffic concern, along with the type of concern.  Users can also select previously submitted concerns and “vote” for them.   The location that receives the most reported traffic concerns will receive increased traffic enforcement as resources allow.  Please note that only traffic concerns located within the City limits of Newark will be addressed by NPD.

The map can be accessed at: http://arcg.is/2biS9uC.
