UD Student Robbed Overnight

Newark – August 17, 2016 – Newark Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred on August 17th at approximately 1:10 a.m. on the unit block of Thorn Lane.

Poice said that the the victim, a 28 year-old male University of Delaware student, was walking with his bicycle when two black male suspects approached him from both sides and assaulted him.

The suspects stole his backpack, containing paper notebooks and a Dell Inspiron 7000 series computer, and then fled eastbound on foot, police said. The victim was treated by EMS and transported to Christiana Emergency Room for further evaluation and is currently in stable condition.
