Teen Robs Newark Pet Store

NewarkDelaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Newark area Pet Store that occurred last evening, according to Public Information Sergeant Richard D. Bratz.

Bratz said that at approximately 7:49 p.m.  on Tuesday, October 4, 2016,  a man entered the Pet Valu,  pet store located at 604 Plaza Drive in the Four Seasons Plaza in Newark. The suspect presented a store employee with a demand note for cash. The man implied he had a weapon however, a weapon was never displayed, Bratz said.

The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then ran out of the store in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, 15-16 years of age. He was 5’05”-5’06” tall, and was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with his face partially covered with dark colored pants.
