Duffy said that officers responded to the unit block of Rose Hill Drive in Bear and checked the residence to ensure it was unoccupied.  Officers then learned the teen heard loud noises inside the home before entering.  After he unlocked the door, he observed the suspect on the second floor carrying an unknown object in his hand.

Police did find damage to a first floor window and learned jewelry and other miscellaneous items were missing from the home, Duffy said.

Additional units responded, to include a K-9 officer which yielded negative results.

The suspect has been described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30-35 years of age, 6’00’tall, wearing a hat, sweatshirt and jeans.
