High School Student Shot

Wilmington – According to Wilmington Police scanner traffic one person was shot this morning, Monday (11/28/16)  in 2700 block of N. Van Buren St. just before 7 a.m. in Wilmington.

The victim was identified as a Dickinson High School student in a early morning robo call to parents. Dickinson High School Principal, Byron Murphy,  told parents that a student had been shot in Wilmington. He went on to say that the incident did not happen on school grounds.

Reports indicated that injured person was wounded in the leg before being transported to the hospital.

Wilmington police continue to investigate.
