Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a New Castle area gas station that occurred last night, according to Presented by Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said that at approximately 7:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, as a man entered the Exxon located at 261 S. DuPont Highway in New Castle demanded money from the cash register, while point a gun at the clerk. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen running in a northbound direction across Pulaski Highway. The employee was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male. He was 20-30 years of age, 5’10”-6’02” tall, weighed between 150-175 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants. There is no further physical or clothing description available.
