Milford Police Arrest Teen On Multiple Charges

Milford – On Tuesday December 13, 2016 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Cedar Beach Road (Rt 36), just east of Rehoboth Blvd, to a report of a disabled vehicle, according to Milford Police Spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten.

milford-patch-2014Masten said that when officers arrived they learned the vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle collision and the operator had fled.  While on the scene officers were contacted by another person who advised them that someone had allegedly attempted to take their vehicle and it was believed it was the operator of the disabled vehicle.

Officers on the scene made contact with Kala I. Fluitt, 19 of Ellendale, and took her into custody after it was believed that she was the operator of the disabled vehicle and the person who allegedly  attempted to remove a nearby vehicle, said Masten.

Ms. Fluitt was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Endangering, Criminal Trespass 3rd degree, Inattentive Driving, Failure to Have Registration in Possession, and Possession of Marijuana.

Ms. Fluitt was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $3001.00 unsecured.
