New Jersey Man Shot to Death In Wilmington

Wilmington – The New Castle County Police, Criminal Investigation Unit, has identified Jakeith Latham, 34, from the unit block of Newkirk Street in Clayton, New Jersey as the man found deceased yesterday evening in Darley Woods.

On Tuesday (12/20) at approximately 5:50 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to the 1000 block of Linda Road in Darley Woods for the report of a possible shooting victim. Responding officers located Jakeith deceased with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Wilmington – The New Castle County Police are currently investigating the death of an unidentified man found this evening in the community of Darley Woods, according to New Castle County Police Spokeswoman Corporal Tracey Duffy.

Duffy said that on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at approximately 5:50 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to the 1000 block of Linda Road in Darley Woods after a witness called 9-1-1 to report an unconscious male on the sidewalk. Responding units arrived on scene and found the unidentified male deceased.

The investigation into this incident is in the early stages and additional information will be released when it becomes available, said Duffy.
