Woman Arrested In Hit-And-Run Case

New Castle – New Castle County Police have arrested 55-year-old Marsha Williams in connection with the hit-and-run that allegedly injured a 12-year-old boy in the community of Overview Gardens, according to police spokesman J.P. Piser.

Piser said that Traffic Service Unit (TSU) detectives have arrested Marsha Williams in connection with the hit-and-run that injured a 12-year-old boy in the unit block of Memorial Drive.  Detectives were able to locate the vehicle and subsequently determine Marsha Williams was operating it when it struck the 12-year-old boy, said Piser.

In a statement Piser said that Marsha Williams turned herself in to police Tuesday evening.  She was charged with leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury and failure to report a collision resulting in injury.  She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
