Dover Shootout Leaves One Dead, Police Seek Two Others

 

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 31-year-old man that occurred on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at approximately 7:40 p.m, according to Dover Public Information Officer M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said that the victim, Javan Cale, was killed when he was shot multiple times in the torso inside of an apartment at Clearfield Apartments located at 120 Haman Drive.

Two unknown suspects were involved in an exchange of gunfire with Cale, in which Cale also fired multiple rounds, said Hoffman. The suspects fled westbound from the apartment building, but no further description is available at this time. Cale was rushed to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, said Hoffman.
