Person Dies After Driving Car Into Retention Pond

Long Neck – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a vehicle crash west of Long Neck, according to Public Information Sergeant Richard D. Bratz.

The preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred yesterday, January 20, 2017 at approximately 3:25 p.m. near Bay Farm Road, Long Neck, as a vehicle was driven into a retention pond for unknown reasons and as a result one person has died. There are no other occupants in the vehicle.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate and more information will be sent as it becomes available
