Wanted Man Flees With Handgun, Arrested After Brief Chase

 

Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested Anthony Ridgeway on Tuesday morning after officers from the Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole attempted to contact him on a Violation of Probation warrant, according to Dover Police M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer. Hoffman said that Ridgeway, 25, fled on foot when officers approached.

Ridgeway was apprehended and found with 3.9 grams of marijuana, according to Hoffman.  Ridgeway also discarded a loaded .32 caliber revolver during the foot chase that was recovered by officers, said Hoffman.

Ridgeway had his bond revoked from a prior case and was committed to JTVCC in default of $30,000 cash bond on charges of Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited While Possessing Controlled Substance.
