Wilmington Walgreens Robbed At Gunpoint

Wilmington – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a Wilmington area pharmacy that occurred yesterday morning, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale

Hale said that at approximately 7:26 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2017, as a man approached a male employee of the Walgreens Pharmacy, located at 1508 Philadelphia Pike, as the employee was opening the business for the day. The suspect displayed an handgun and demanded money from the business, according to Hale.

The victim employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen fleeing toward the rear of the business. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male. He was 20-40 years of age, 5’08”-6’00” tall, weighed 170-180 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and had a mask partially covering his face.
