Bicyclist Struck By Car Flown To Hospital

involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Edgemoor Road and Denny Road, according to New Castle County Paramedic Spokeswoman Yvonne T. Russell.

Russell said that County Paramedics arrived to find the patient, a 37-year-old male, in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Brandywine Hundred Fire Company. The patient had injuries to his back and pelvic areas and was treated by County Paramedics.

The patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
