Elkton Road Dunkin Donuts Robbed In Newark

DD photo 2 Newark Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Friday, 02/17/2017 at approximately 5:00 a.m. at Dunkin’ Donuts, 1142 Elkton Road, Newark, according to Newark Police Spokesman Lieutenant Fred Nelson.

DD photo 1Nelson said that the victim, a 52 year old female Dunkin’ Donuts employee, reported that the suspect entered the business with his hands in his pockets.

The suspect then implied he had a weapon and demanded that the victim turn over money from the cash register, said Nelson. The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. The suspect then fled the area in a dark colored passenger car, which was last observed traveling southbound on Elkton Road. The victim was not injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a white male with tan skin, approximately 6’00’’ tall, average build, in his 40’s or 50’s, wearing a black jacket, black pants, and brown boots.
