Newark Woman Killed In Maryland Accident

Rising Sun, MD. – On Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 8:58 AM, troopers from the Maryland State Police North East Barrack were dispatched to respond to Route 1 at Horseshoe Road, Conowingo, in reference to a collision involving two vehicles, according to Maryland State Police (MSP).

fatal-accident-stockAuthorities said that, Nicole McIntosh, 42, of Newark, was driving a 1990 Honda Civic when she crossed over the double yellow line striking a Peterbilt Fuel truck, head on.

McIntosh was transported to Christiana Hospital by MSP Medevac with serious injuries where she was pronounced deceased at 10:50 AM.

Officials said that an inventory of the Honda was conducted and suspected Methamphetamine was located. The operator of the Peterbilt was uninjured.

Personnel from the MSP Commercial Motor Vehicle Division and CRASH Team responded to the scene to assist barrack troopers with the investigation.
