72-Year-Old-Victim Found Tied Up In Closet, 17-Year-Old Facing Attempted Homicide

East Brandywine Township, PA – East Brandywine Township Police have made an arrest in the home invasion robbery and assault of a 72-year-old female resident which was reported to have occurred in the 1000 block of Creek Rd (Rt 282) on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, according to authorities.

crime-scenePolice did not identified the 17 year old male suspect they believe is responsible for this brutal attack, citing his age. He is facing charges for Attempted Homicide, Robbery, Burglary, Kidnapping and related charges, according to police.

Officials said that police were called to the scene on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at approximately 10:00 am by the daughter-in-law of the 72-year-old victim. She stated she found her mother-in-law assaulted and bound inside of a closet, according to police. Due to injuries suffered by the victim she was transported to Paoli Hospital for treatment.

At the time the victim was only able to tell Police that she remembers getting out of her vehicle, being grabbed from behind and hit in the head by a male dressed in all black, according to police.

Police had been searching for the victim’s 2013 silver Fiat 500, which was missing from the residence, in recent days.
