Early Morning Robbery Ends In Wilmington’s 47th Shooting

Wilmington – On Saturday March 25, 2017 at approximately 12:50 a.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the 200 block of W. 7th Street in reference to a shooting investigation.

Arriving officer’s located a 19-year-old male victim inside of a residence in the block suffering from a gunshot wound to his left leg. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital in good condition.

Officials said that the preliminary investigation indicated that the victim was approached in the 200 block of W. 7th Street by three unknown, black male suspects who demanded the victim’s property and then shot him before fleeing the area on foot.
