Man Grabs University of Delaware Student’s Butt

Newark – The Newark Police Department is investigating an unlawful sexual contact that occurred on Friday, February 24, 2017 at approximately 11:57 p.m. on North Chapel Street, just south of police-newarkEast Cleveland Avenue, according to Lieutenant Fred Nelson.

Nelson said that the victim, a 21-year-old University of Delaware student, reported that she was walking on N. Chapel Street when a male approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks.

The victim stated that she yelled and the suspect quickly walked away from her, said Nelson. She described the suspect as a dark skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’3’’ in height, clean shaven, with black hair, wearing a green short sleeved polo shirt and dark colored jeans.
