Man Robbed In Front Of Kirkwood Highway Restaurant

Wilmington – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of an individual as he was seated in his car in front of a Wilmington area restaurant last night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 8:23 p.m. last night, Monday, March 13, 2017, as a male victim was seated in his vehicle which was parked in front of the Godavari Restaurant, located at 3615 Kirkwood Highway.

It was at this time that the victim was approached by a male suspect who displayed handgun and demanded money from him, according to Hale. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to him. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male. He was 5’10”-6’00” tall, and weighed 160-190 lbs.
