Two Alarm House Fire In Bethany Beach, Minor Injury

Bethany Beach – On Tuesday March, 14 2017, at 10:32 a.m. firefighters from the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, along with supporting departments, responded to a a report of a structure fire in the 39600 block of Heron Road in Bethany Beach, according to statement from the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Responding units found the home ablaze and worked to knock the fire down. Crews employed an aggressive interior attack along with strong truck work, according to officials.

The two alarm working structure fire was confined the fire to home and did not spread to adjoining structures.

One firefighter received a minor injury and was transported to a local medical facility, according to the statement.

Units from Bethany, Millville, Roxana, Frankford and Rehoboth Beach responded to the initial alarm. Dagsboro and Ocean City were added for the second alarm.
