Newark Police Release Photos Of Today’s Bank Robbery Suspect

Newark – March 10, 2017 – On Friday March 10, 2017 at approximately 11:50 a.m. the Newark Police responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 622 South College Avenue for a report of a bank robbery, according to police. Officers arrived on scene and learned that the suspect approached a teller, implied that he was armed and demanded money.

The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen fleeing south bound on South College Avenue in a newer model black Nissan Altima.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 5’07” to 5’10” tall, slim build, slight acne scarring on cheeks, wearing a black hooded jacket.

Newark – Today, Friday March 10, 2017 at around 12 p.m. Newark Police Officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 622 S College Avenue in Newark.

The suspect was last seen fleeing south bound on S College Avenue (Rt. 896), according to reports from the scene.

Shortly after the robbery heavy police actively was observed along Route 896 from the Bob Carpenter Center to Interstate 95.

Police are currently on scene investigating the the incident. The bank is located just across the street from the Bob Carpenter Center and the University of Delaware’s Tubby Raymond Field.

This same location was robbed in June of 2015, when a suspect walked up to a teller and presented a note demanding money. In that robbery the teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

A Newark Man was eventually arrested for that robbery and a series of other robberies.
