Police Identify Wilmington’s 13th Homicide Victim Of The Year

Wilmington – Wilmington Police have identified the homicide victim from March 25, 2017 in the 700 block of N. Tatnall Street. Officials said that Richard Crosby, 30, of Wilmington was the 13th homicide victim in 2017.

Wilmington – On Saturday, March 25, 2017 at approximately 12:01 p.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the area of the 700 block of N. Tatnall Street regarding a shots fired complaint, according to police,

Officials said that arriving police officers located a 30-year-old male down on the corner of 8th and N. Tatnall Street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and was transported to the Wilmington Hospital Emergency Room where he was pronounced deceased.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The investigation remains active and ongoing at this hour.
