Update – Child Falls From Third Story Window, Lands On Car

Elkton, MD -The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is currently investigating an incident that occurred on March 26, 2017 at approximately 10:45 PM., according to CCSO Spokesman Lieutenant Michael Holmes.

Holmes said that Sheriff’s deputies and investigators responded to the unit block of Caribou Court in Elkton in reference a 4-year-old child falling from a third story window.

The initial investigation revealed that the child fell from a bedroom window onto a vehicle parked in front of the residence, said Holmes. The parent of the child located the child outside the residence and called 911.

The child was conscious and alert. The child was transported to A. I. Dupont Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware by ambulance where the child is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
