Newark – Today, Thursday April 13, 2017, just before 4:00 p.m. units from several fire companies responded to a report of a garage fire on South Old Baltimore Pike.

Arriving units were met with heavy smoke and fire. Fire crews battled for over an hour to bring the blaze under control.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Christina Bypass (273) @ Old Baltimore. Fire Police closed  South Old Baltimore Pike between W. Main Street and 273 as crews brought fire under control. This brought rush hour traffic in the area to a crawl.
