Double Shooting Leaves Two Wilmington Teens In Hospital

Wilmington – Yesterday, April 05, 2017 at approximately 7:25 p.m., Uniform Services Division officer’s responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Bowers Street in reference to a shooting investigation. Arriving officer’s located a 19-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his left leg and a 17- year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm.

The victims were treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition. The preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of E. 29’th Street where a crime scene was located and that the victim’s fled into the described residence after being shot.

There is no suspect information available at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective Jose Santana at 302-576-3972.
