Man In Hospital After Being Shot In New Castle

New Castle – New Castle County Police (NCCPD)  are currently investigating a shooting that left a 30-year-old man injured in the community of Mayview Manor, according to  NCCPD Spokesman JP Piser.

Piser said on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at about 4:00 a.m., County Police responded to the area of Lambson Lane and E. Hillview Ave for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police located the victim in the street suffering apparent gunshot wounds. The man was provided first aid on scene and transported to an area hospital by ambulance. Further information on his medial status is not known at this time.

Piser said that investigation is on going and that further information later.
