Man Shot In New Castle Transported To Hospital

New Castle – The New Castle County Police (NCCPD) are currently investigating the shooting of a 40-year-old man that occurred in Pine Valley Apartments, according to NCCPD spokeswoman Corporal Tracy Duffy.

Duffy said On Thursday evening, April 28, New Castle County Police were called to the 500 block of S. DuPont Highway in reference to a man that was shot.

Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper extremity. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was sitting on the front steps of an apartment building when he was approached by two unknown suspects. The victim reported the suspects then fired multiple shots striking the victim.

He was transported to the Christiana Medical Center for his injuries.
