Mountain Of Drugs And Cash Seized, 5,200 Bags Of Heroin

Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested Devron Powell,36, of Dover, on numerous drug charges following a Monday morning traffic stop, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole observed Powell driving a vehicle in the area of North State Street and Division Street, with a suspended driver’s license.

Once stopped, officers discovered 5,200 bags of heroin, 1.3 grams of marijuana, and $1011.00 in drug proceeds. Powell was arrested without incident and  charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, Two Counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While Suspended.
