Police: Woman Uses Frying Pan As A Weapon

Harrington – On April 2, 2017 the Harrington Police Department arrested Katelyn Thomas 21, of the 200 Block of Delaware Ave. in Harrington after she threatened to hit a relative with a frying pan, according to Harrington Police Spokesman Captain Earl Brode.

Brode said that while on patrol police were dispatched to a residence on Delaware Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. When police arrived they contacted Thomas and the victim who were both still in the residence.

During the course of the investigation police determined that Thomas and the adult victim were involved in a verbal argument, said Brode. During the course of the argument Ms. Thomas grabbed a frying pan and began chasing the victim around the residence attempting to hit him, according to Brode. Thomas also threatened to kill the victim, added Brode.

Police took her into custody without incident and transported her to the Harrington Police Department for processing. She was charged with one count of Aggravated Menacing and was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7. She was then released on $6,000 unsecured bond.
