Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating a Monday (May 15) morning shooting that occurred in the first block of S. New Street, according to authorities.
Officials said that at approximately 2:14 AM, officers responded to the area for a report of several shots being fired. As officers were checking the scene, a 22-year-old man arrived at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower body.
The victim was treated for his non-life threatening injury.
