30-Year-Old Man Shot In Wilmington

Wilmington – On May 06, 2017 at approximately 1:03 a.m., Wilmington officer’s responded to the area of Beech & S. Vanburen Street in reference to a shots fired investigation, according to police.

Arriving officer’s located evidence of a shooting at the described location as well as a victim inside a residence located in the 300 block of Porter Street. The victim, a 30-year-old male was suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs, according to authorities.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the St. Francis Hospital in stable condition. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
