Happening Now: Water Rescue In Claymont

Claymont – Claymont Fire Company is responding to a call for a person in the water near Devon Road in Wilmington.  Marine rescue boats were alerted and were enroute to the scene.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation Unit) is also enroute and was advised that they will be utilized.

Claymont Command has notified dispatchers that the marine rescue boats were no longer needed as they have pulled a man in his thirties from the water.

New Castle County Paramedics are rushing to the scene.

Update

Reports from the scene indicate that the a man who appeared to be in his thirties had fallen was injured. Arriving medics have alerted Trooper 4  that they will not be needed.

One patient is enroute to Christina Hospital by ambulance
